    A Pulse Width Modulation Modem is a circuit system that works in tandem with another circuit. Its core function is to perform a complete conversion of a signal from the analog domain to the digital pulse domain and back to the analog domain. Its operation consists of two stages: modulation and demodulation.

The simplest way is to use a low-pass filter, because the average DC component of the PWM signal is proportional to its duty cycle; filtering yields an approximate original signal.
