The material is typically a clear or translucent amorphous solid, and its commercial forms can include resin pellets, films, solutions, and dispersions. PPC combines transparency, flexibility, barrier performance, clean thermal decomposition with very low residue, and biodegradation potential, which supports applications in packaging films, degradable materials, ceramic and metal powder binders, thick-film pastes, coatings, inks, and selected high-value functional materials. Current industrialization is concentrated mainly in China and the United States, where China is pushing forward ten-thousand-ton to fifty-thousand-ton projects while U.S. suppliers have already commercialized PPC in high-purity binder and specialty film applications.
