Summary

Mining, manufacturing and utilities contributed 25.5% to the gross value added (GVA) in 2019, followed by financial intermediation, real estate and business activities (24.8%) and other services (18.2%). In nominal terms, the three sectors are expected to grow by 5.8%, 7.0% and 7.1%, respectively in 2020.

- According to the World Bank’s Logistic Performance Index (LPI), Chile ranked 34th out of 160 countries in 2018, a sharp improvement from 46th in 2016
- The overall IGPA index exhibits a declining trend over last one year. As of January 6, 2020, the IGPA index stood at 24,342.37, compared to 26,299.34 on January 7, 2019.
