A busway system is an electrical distribution system used to transmit electrical energy in buildings, industrial facilities and other applications. It is a solution that replaces traditional cabling, passing current through a set of conductors (busbars), thereby providing power supply to various electrical equipment. A metallic conductor, usually made of copper or aluminum, to carry electrical current. These conductors can be solid or hollow, depending on the design and current requirements of the system. A busway system usually consists of three conductors, namely phase, neutral and ground. A busway is an enclosed conductive pathway used to accommodate conductors. The outer casing of the busway is usually made of fire-resistant, insulating and corrosion-resistant materials to protect the conductors from the environment. Busway can be of different shapes (e.g. rectangular, round) and sizes to suit different application needs. Insulation and brackets are used to isolate the busway from the structure of the building and to ensure electrical safety. The insulating material avoids direct contact of the busway with other objects, preventing the risk of electric shock.
