    Magnetic Ballasts are traditional lighting control devices based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, primarily used in fluorescent lamps, high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps, and certain ultraviolet lamp systems to regulate starting current and stabilize arc discharge during operation. The product typically features a rectangular or box-shaped metal enclosure. Its internal structure mainly consists of laminated silicon steel cores, copper or aluminum windings, insulation materials, impregnated resin, and terminal connectors; some models also include capacitors for power factor correction. The housing is usually made of steel or aluminum with coated or corrosion-resistant surfaces to enhance heat dissipation and durability.
    Structurally, a magnetic ballast is a classic core-and-coil inductive device. By utilizing the inductance of the winding, it limits the alternating current supplied to the lamp. During startup, the ballast works together with a starter or ignitor to generate a high voltage pulse that ionizes the gas inside the lamp tube and initiates arc formation. Once the lamp is operating, the ballast controls and stabilizes the current flow, preventing excessive current that could damage the lamp. Depending on the lamp type, magnetic ballasts can be categorized into fluorescent lamp ballasts, HID lamp ballasts (such as high-pressure sodium and metal halide lamp ballasts), and specialized ultraviolet lamp ballasts.
    Magnetic ballasts are widely used in industrial lighting, street and roadway lighting, stadium lighting, commercial building illumination, and ultraviolet systems for water treatment and disinfection.
    From an industry analyst perspective, the market for Magnetic Ballasts still presents certain development opportunities and driving factors. In many developing countries and emerging economies, traditional discharge lighting systems remain widely used, particularly in applications such as roadway lighting, industrial facilities, warehouses, and agricultural or aquaculture lighting.
