Downstream applications primarily involve purification units for natural gas, syngas, hydrogen, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), propylene, naphtha, and reformate; these agents serve as guard beds positioned upstream of reforming catalysts, hydrogenation catalysts, low-temperature shift catalysts, methanol synthesis catalysts, and molecular sieve adsorbents.
