    Liquid solder mask is a photoimageable polymer coating applied to PCB surfaces around copper traces and pads. It is deposited by screen printing, spray or curtain coating, then tack-dried, exposed and developed to create openings and fine solder dams, followed by final curing. The cured film provides electrical insulation, oxidation/moisture/chemical protection, and solder-heat resistance, reducing solder bridging during assembly.
