The main constraints include the relatively concentrated supply of HNBR polymers and the impact of raw material price fluctuations and supply stability on manufacturing costs. Although HNBR offers good oil resistance, heat resistance, and mechanical performance, it is not suitable for every strong oxidizing medium, aromatic solvent, or extreme-temperature environment, and may be replaced by FKM, FFKM, EPDM, or AFLAS in selected applications.
