LiFSI offers high ionic conductivity, a wide electrochemical stability window, favorable thermal and low-temperature performance, and compatibility with carbonate, ether, high-concentration, and localized high-concentration electrolytes. It is increasingly relevant to high-nickel cathodes, lithium iron phosphate batteries, silicon-carbon anodes, and lithium-metal systems. Commercial differentiation depends on impurity control, batch consistency, moisture management, and electrolyte formulation capability for mitigating aluminum current-collector corrosion.
