Heat-Shrink Identification Sleeves are tubular marking products manufactured from radiation-crosslinked polyolefin, fluoropolymers or other heat-recoverable polymeric materials with printable surface treatments. They are used for the permanent identification of wires, cables, wiring harnesses, hoses and other cylindrical components. The sleeve is placed over the component in its expanded state and contracts radially when heated, forming a close-fitting marker that normally requires no pressure-sensitive adhesive. It can carry text, serial numbers, barcodes, QR codes and color coding while providing resistance to abrasion, moisture, chemicals, temperature variation and flame. Principal formats include continuous tubing, pre-cut ladder-style sleeves, segmented rolls and pre-printed sleeves.
