Its core function is to balance sealing performance, wear resistance, friction control, and maintainability under fluctuating temperature, pressure, chemical exposure, and shaft speed conditions. It is widely used across oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, metallurgy, mining, pulp and paper, pharmaceuticals, food processing, marine, water treatment, and wastewater systems. Major production and supply bases are concentrated in China, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, Italy, and India. China holds a strong position in volume manufacturing and export of standard braided packings, while suppliers in Europe, the United States, and Japan remain stronger in low-emission, high-purity, high-temperature, and severe-service formulations.
