    PFSA (Perfluorosulfonic Acid) membranes are the most commonly used proton exchange membranes (PEMs) in fuel cells. They are ionomers, meaning they contain both hydrophobic (fluorocarbon backbone) and hydrophilic (sulfonic acid groups) regions. This unique structure allows them to conduct protons (H+) effectively while maintaining mechanical strength and chemical stability in the harsh fuel cell environment.     At present, perfluorosulfonic acid membranes occupy 97.96% of the global fuel cell proton exchange membrane market, and their technological monopoly continues to consolidate. Their high proton conductivity and durability have become the mainstream choice, and the risk of technological substitution is relatively low. In terms of application, the phased coldness in the field of hydrogen fuel vehicles has brought structural challenges to the industry. The decline in Toyota's hydrogen energy vehicle sales in 2022 and the halving of Hyundai's sales in 2023 exposed the uncertainty of the terminal application market, which was mainly restricted by factors such as the decline in policy subsidies, the rise in hydrogen energy prices, the lack of hydrogen station infrastructure and the low consumer acceptance.
