    Upstream raw materials mainly include natural polymers such as gelatin, alginate, chitosan, and hyaluronic acid, as well as synthetic polymers such as polyacrylamide, polyethylene glycol, and polyvinyl alcohol. Other important inputs include fluorescent dyes, carbon dots, quantum dots, metal complexes, crosslinking agents, photoinitiators, and functionalized monomers. Midstream manufacturers produce fluorescent hydrogel precursors, bulk gels, films, microspheres, and printable materials through polymer modification, fluorescent-unit immobilization, crosslinking and gelation, and performance optimization. Downstream applications include biosensing, bioimaging, 3D bioprinting, tissue engineering, food testing, and environmental monitoring, with major customers comprising biomaterials companies, research institutions, diagnostic testing companies, sensor manufacturers, and medical-device developers.
