It is mainly used in piglet, chick, and aquaculture starter feeds where protein digestibility and gut tolerance are especially important. The downstream is concentrated in piglet feeds, creep feeds, early nursery diets, broiler starter feeds, layer chick feeds, aquaculture starter feeds, pet food, and some young-ruminant diets. In practical market terms, demand is driven less by bulk feed applications and more by premium animal-nutrition segments that require gut health support, low antigenicity, high digestibility, and better formulation consistency. As a result, sales are closely linked to premium young-animal feeds, high-protein aquafeeds, and substitution away from animal proteins.
