Major manufacturers are increasing the contribution of high-performance core technologies while developing lower-carbon steel facings, lower-impact blowing agents, wood-fiber or other low-carbon cores, and connection systems that support disassembly and material recovery. Digital design, building information modeling, prefabricated processing, and standardized accessory systems will reduce installation errors and encourage manufacturers to expand from panel supply into complete envelope solutions and technical services.
