Downstream, it is used as a building block for agrochemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, polymer modifiers, and advanced materials, with distribution handled through chemical suppliers, contract manufacturers (CMOs/CDMOs), and specialty chemical distributors serving industries such as life sciences, coatings, and performance materials. In 2025, global Cyclobutane output was about 11,000 tons with 15,000 tons of capacity, average prices of USD 8,000–13,000 per ton, and gross margins around 29%.
