CVD Diamond Acoustic Diaphragms are self-supporting acoustic vibration components manufactured using carbon source gases such as methane and hydrogen as the main reactant gases. Differences between applications mainly manifest in diameter, thickness, curvature, edge structure, and assembly interfaces. Small-diameter ultra-thin domes are primarily used for tweeters, larger-diameter domes for midrange drivers, and small, lightweight diaphragms for headphones.

CVD diamond acoustic diaphragms are expanding beyond their established role as a performance benchmark in high-end home audio into premium automotive systems, professional monitors and customized acoustic platforms. Standard 20–34 mm diaphragm prices are likely to decline first as Chinese suppliers improve curved growth and laser-processing capabilities, whereas large diamond midrange diaphragms, automotive-qualified assemblies and integrated diaphragm-and-voice-coil products should retain substantial premiums.
