    Crane collision detection sensors are safety detection and control devices installed on bridge cranes, gantry cranes, port cranes, tower cranes, portal cranes, tire cranes, rail cranes, mobile lifting equipment, or related operating tracks, booms, end beams, spreaders, cabs, and control cabinets. These products utilize laser ranging, lidar, millimeter-wave/industrial radar, ultrasonic, infrared/photoelectric, encoders, GNSS/RTK, wireless communication, area modeling, and control algorithms to identify in real time the distances and relative motion states between cranes, between cranes and end stops, between cranes and fixed obstacles, and between cranes and ships/yards/buildings/restricted areas. Upon reaching warning, deceleration, or stopping thresholds, they output audible and visual alarms, relay signals, bus signals, or safety control commands, thereby reducing collision risks and improving the safety of lifting operations.
    From a product roadmap perspective, the industry is evolving from single-point alarms to multi-level control and multi-sensor fusion. Early products were mostly reflective photoelectric, laser ranging, or ultrasonic alarm devices, primarily implementing three levels of functionality: "proximity alarm, slowing down, and stopping." Current products are gradually incorporating LiDAR scanning, millimeter-wave radar, area modeling, digital maps, wireless communication, data logging, and remote diagnostic capabilities. Especially in tower crane and port machinery scenarios, the system needs to calculate in real time the spatial relationships between multiple devices, restricted areas, and risk boundaries.
