Compared with the direct incorporation of conventional rubber, the particle structure and size of core-shell rubber toughener are pre-engineered during production. This enables significant improvements in fracture toughness, impact resistance, peel strength, and fatigue resistance while largely retaining the original strength, modulus, heat resistance, and processing performance of the resin.
    Upstream raw materials mainly include rubber-phase feedstocks such as butadiene, butyl acrylate, and silicone monomer; shell-forming monomers such as methyl methacrylate and styrene; and auxiliary materials including emulsifier, initiator, crosslinking agent, grafting agent, and epoxy resin carrier. The production process typically involves emulsion polymerization, core-shell grafting, particle separation, drying, or pre-dispersion in resin. Downstream users include manufacturers of adhesive, electronic packaging material, modified plastic, industrial coating, and composite material, with final products serving the automotive, electrical and electronic, construction, wind power, and aerospace sectors.
