    In industrial processing, hard alumina, silicon-carbide, and ceramic-bead fillers are incorporated into epoxy systems to improve erosion, abrasion, and corrosion resistance. These materials are used to rebuild or protect pumps, pipes, chutes, valves, tanks, heat exchangers, and slurry-handling equipment.
