It can be used to separate and concentrate certain ions, such as heavy metals or toxic compounds, from wastewater or industrial effluents. Resource Recovery: BED can facilitate the recovery and recycling of valuable resources from various waste streams. For example, it can be employed to extract precious metals from electronic waste or to recover valuable chemicals from industrial byproducts.
