According to our (Global Info Research) latest study, the global Aviation Tires market size was valued at US$ 1043 million in 2025 and is forecast to a readjusted size of US$ 1120 million by 2032 with a CAGR of 0.6% during review period.
In 2025, global aviation tires production reached approximately 1.24 Million Unit, average price was about 818 US$ per Unit.
Aviation tires are specialized tires designed for use on aircraft landing gear systems. They are engineered to withstand extremely high loads, heavy impact forces during landing, rapid acceleration during takeoff, and wide temperature variations. Unlike standard vehicle tires, aircraft tires operate at much higher inflation pressures and are constructed with multiple layers of reinforced materials such as nylon or aramid cords to ensure strength, durability, and resistance to wear. They are critical components for safe aircraft operations, providing traction during landing and taxiing while supporting the aircraft’s weight on the ground. Aircraft tires are commonly classified into types such as bias-ply and radial tires, depending on their internal construction.
In recent years, with the continued recovery of global air transportation demand and the expansion of aircraft fleets, aviation tires, as essential safety components in aviation operations, have maintained steady market demand growth. Aviation tires support aircraft during take-off, landing, taxiing and ground parking, providing load-bearing, shock absorption and braking functions. They must maintain stable performance under high speed, heavy load, strong impact and complex climate conditions. Therefore, aircraft tyres are not only an important part of the aviation consumables market, but also a core basic component for ensuring flight safety and operational efficiency.
From the demand structure perspective, commercial passenger aircraft represent the largest application segment for aircraft tyres. With the recovery of global flight volumes, fleet renewal by airlines, and increased deliveries of narrow-body and wide-body aircraft, both OEM demand and replacement demand are growing simultaneously. Compared with other aviation components, aircraft tyres have clear consumable characteristics. Their service life is affected by landing cycles, route conditions, runway conditions and aircraft load. As a result, aftermarket replacement demand accounts for a significant share of the market. Meanwhile, cargo aircraft, business jets, military aircraft and general aviation aircraft also provide stable demand.
In terms of product structure, aircraft tyres are mainly divided into radial tyres and bias tyres. Radial tyres feature lighter weight, better wear resistance, improved heat dissipation and longer service life, and their application share continues to increase in commercial aircraft and high-end aircraft models. Bias tyres have mature structures and relatively lower costs, and they are still used in some military aircraft, general aviation aircraft and specific aircraft types. As airlines place greater emphasis on fuel efficiency, maintenance cost control and operational safety, high-performance, lightweight and long-life aircraft tyres are becoming the key direction of industry upgrading.
From the industry chain perspective, upstream suppliers include natural rubber, synthetic rubber, carbon black, steel cord, aramid fibre and specialty chemical additives. Midstream players are aircraft tyre manufacturers, while downstream customers include aircraft manufacturers, airlines, maintenance service providers and military aviation users. The industry has high technical barriers, as products must meet strict aviation airworthiness certifications and safety standards. Requirements for material formulation, structural design, manufacturing process and quality control are extremely high. Therefore, the global aircraft tyres market is relatively concentrated, with leading companies holding advantages in technology accumulation, certification systems and global service networks.
